Ingredients

  • 1 Alimenta Neapolitan Saltimbocca (with sourdough)
  • 200 gr sliced chicken breast
  • Caesar Sauce
  • Fresh lettuce
  • Parmigiano Reggiano DOP (grated or shavings)

Rub the chicken with oil, salt, and pepper, then cook it on a hot griddle.

Preheat the oven to 200°C and cook the Saltimbocca for 5 minutes without opening it, or cook it directly.

Once cooked, open the sandwich and spread the Caesar sauce on both halves.

Fill it with the chicken cut into strips and the lettuce.

Add more Caesar sauce and a sprinkle of Parmigiano Reggiano DOP.

The Recipe

Start with the chicken preparation: lightly grease the slices of chicken breast with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, add sale and pepper to both sides. Heat a griddle or a non-stick pan well and cook the meat for about 4-5 minutes per side, until it is nicely golden on the outside and cooked through on the inside. Set it aside to rest.

Turn on the oven and preriscal it to 200°C. Take the pre-cut Saltimbocca out of the package, place it unopened on the oven rack, and let it cook for exactly 5 minutes. In this way, you will get a warm and soft interior and a perfectly crispy outer crust. You can also cook it directly on a griddle, or in a pan, still without opening the Saltimbocca in half.

While the bread is warming up, take the previously grilled chicken breast and cut it into strips or small bites on a cutting board. Take the Saltimbocca out of the oven, open it in half, and, using a spoon, spread a generous layer of Caesar sauce on both the base and the top part.

Start assembling your sandwich: place the chicken pieces on the seasoned base, add the lettuce leaves that have been previously washed and dried, and pour another spoonful of Caesar sauce to make everything even more succulent.

Add a rich sprinkle of grated Parmigiano Reggiano DOP over the lettuce. If you have any leftover chicken, put in the last pieces, close the Saltimbocca with its top half, and bite into it!
