If you are reading this Privacy Policy, that implies that you are visiting our website. The information below is provided so that you can find out how we process your personal data when visiting our website or when you interact with us through it, e.g. when you contact us or when you sign up for our newsletter. On such occurrences, as well as in many more circumstances, we will process some of your personal data. Why do we process your personal data and when do we collect them?

NAVIGATION DATA

IT systems and software procedures used to operate this website normally and regularly gather some personal data whose transmission to others is intrinsically inherent to Internet communication protocols.

This category of personal data includes the IP addresses or domain names of the computers and terminals used by you, the URI/URL notation addresses of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used in submitting the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the server response – i.e. successful, error, etc. – as well as other parameters related to the user’s operating system and IT environment.

Can we do that without your consent? Yes. These data are necessary for Internet communications as well as to enable you to use our website (Art. 6(f) GDPR). 

How long do we keep your personal data? Navigation data do not persist for more than seven days – except for the need of investigating crimes, if any, by judicial authorities.

As the Data Controller, when you browse our website we will collect some of your personal data for analysis and data processing purposes, to memorize your preferences and browsing experiences. We use technologies such as first-party and third-party cookies to collect your data.

How long do we keep your personal data? We will keep these data for up to 12 months from the date we receive your request, unless a contractual relationship is established. In this case, the data will be retained for the entire duration of the relationship and for an additional 10 years following the date of purchase (Art. 2220 of the Italian Civil Code) for the purposes of administrative and tax compliance and to protect the Data Controller’s rights.

On our website you can also subscribe to our newsletter, in which case we will process your first name, last name, and e-mail address.

How do we process your personal data?

Your personal data are processed using appropriate tools and procedures to ensure their security and confidentiality. Processing may be carried out through our website and through other electronic devices – e.g. company databases – and sometimes through paper-based documents. In certain cases, other individuals in charge of the organisation of this website – such as administrative staff, sales staff, system administrators, etc. – or external individuals – such as third-party technical service providers, hosting providers, IT companies, communication agencies, data entry agencies – may have access to your personal data in addition to the Data Controller. Where are your data located?

We mainly process your personal data within the European territory. We have chosen partners that allow us to keep data within the European Union, in accordance with the requirements of the Regulation. Through the installation of cookies your navigation data (IP address) may be transferred outside the European union, and in particular to the United States – by way of example, but not limited to, through Google.

Who can access your personal data?

Your personal data may be made accessible to Data Controller’s employees and collaborators in their capacity as data processors and/or system administrators and/or other parties – e.g. professional firms, consultancies, software houses which provide software packages, etc. – conducting work on our behalf in their capacity as external data processors. 

Under no circumstances will we disseminate your personal data.

Recipients of processed data are those people or organisations which receive a communication about personal data from the Data Controller but which, in the wake of such communication, act as independent Data Controllers. Recipients include:

  • Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin and other platforms belonging to the Data Controller. When you click on the icons of social networks and platforms, you will be redirected to pages outside the website and you agree to share some of your data with the Controllers of that service. The information you share will then be governed by the privacy policies of the social network or platform which you have chosen;
  • Cortilia. When you click on the banner ‘Acquista Alimenta on Cortilia’ [Purchase Alimenta on Cortilia], you will be redirected to a page outside the Data Controller’s website and you agree to share some of your data with the Controllers of that service. The information you share will then be governed by the privacy policies of the platform which you have chosen.
  • Google Maps. When you visit the ‘Where to buy’ section, you can find the nearest supermarket stocking our products.

This website is targeted to a general audience. However, its services are addressed to people aged 18 or older.
